BOOKING TERMS & POLICIES
Clear, fair, and professional standards to ensure a flawless entertainment experience for your celebration.
1. Reservation & Advance Deposit
Due to high demand and exclusive date holding, performance dates are strictly reserved on a first-come, first-confirmed basis upon receipt of a 25% advance booking deposit (non-refundable). Verbal agreements or draft inquiries do not hold or block dates on DJ Hemal's official performance calendar.
2. Transparent Overtime Rates
We believe in complete transparency with zero hidden fees. If your celebration extends beyond the agreed performance duration, overtime is charged at a flat, transparent rate of:
Overtime must be mutually agreed with the client or event planner on the night and settled in cash or instant transfer.
3. All-Island Travel & Logistics
DJ Hemal performs across all 9 provinces of Sri Lanka. For events held outside the Colombo metropolitan area, transport charges are calculated fairly based on actual return distance (kilometres) and prevailing fuel prices at the date of the event. For multi-day or distant outstation events, safe overnight crew accommodation and meals are arranged or billed to the host.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
To exclusively secure and block your event date on DJ Hemal's performance calendar, all advance booking deposits are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Non-Refundable Deposit: Advance booking deposits (25%) are non-refundable, as all alternative client inquiries for that date are turned down upon confirmation.
- Rescheduling (At least 14 Days Notice): Cancellations or date change requests communicated in writing at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled event date may be transferred to a mutually available future date within 6 months.
- Less than 14 Days Notice: Cancellations or reschedules requested with less than 2 weeks notice are completely non-refundable and not eligible for date transfer, as sound, lighting systems, and crew have been committed exclusively to your event.
5. Venue Approval & Atmospheric Safety Protocol
Certain hotels and heritage venues maintain optical smoke sensors requiring temporary isolation by venue engineering staff during the low fog or spark presentation. DJ Hemal's team coordinates directly with venue engineers to ensure compliance.
6. Electrical Power & Stage Requirements
To protect concert-grade audio equipment and ensure uninterrupted music, the venue must provide a stable 230V AC power supply with adequate amperage, grounded outlets, or an industrial generator backup. The performance console area must be completely sheltered from rain, moisture, and direct prolonged sunlight.
